Battles and Missions:
This
RPG is different than most others. The battles don’t take place through e-mail,
chat rooms, or anything like that. They take place on the message boards. It’s
a very simple system.
Challenges are allowed, hell, they’re
welcome. We want you to challenge one
another. But there are some
guidelines that must be followed.
1.
Challenges are open.
You
are allowed to challenge anyone you wish. Battles will be in two-week
intervals. You will be awarded credits (money) so you can purchase weapons,
make modifications, and have your mobile suit repaired.
**All
repairs and modifications will be performed at Howard’s compound. Weapons and
such can be purchased at various places on Earth, Mars, and the colonies.**
For example, if Pilot A challenges Pilot B,
Pilot B has seventy-two hours to respond. If Pilot A doesn’t receive a response,
or Pilot B denies the challenge, then there are other pilots to challenge. If
two pilots challenge the same opponent, then the opponent has three options:
A. Accept
one of the challenges. He or she would fight only one of the pilots.
B.
Accept both challenges. He or she would fight both pilots.
C.
Deny both challenges.
There are no penalties for denying a
challenge. You can even challenge the five original pilots if you want. But you
can only challenge up to two pilots at a time for a single battle.
2.
Choose your opponent(s)
wisely.
Before
you challenge an opponent, be sure you know who you’re challenging. Check the
members page for information before you issue a challenge. Here are some things
to consider before choosing an opponent to challenge.
Rank
is very important. Your opponents’ rank depends on what mobile suit he or she
pilots. For example:
Pilot A: Lieutenant vs Pilot B: Officer
Then, the mobile suits would be:
Now, I know what you’re probably thinking. An Aries suit doesn’t stand a snowball’s chance in hell against a Mercurius. You’re both right and wrong. Remember, the mobile suit’s performance in battle solely depends on the pilot. So, don’t worry too much about it.
It
doesn’t matter what type of mobile suit you are currently piloting, you can’t
perform well in battle without equipment. Your mobile suit starts with the
basic equipment it was built with (according to Gundam Wing and Endless Waltz).
But no matter if you win or lose, you will receive credits. Of course, you receive
more if you win.
In order to continue winning, you need
equipment. After each battle, you have the option of purchasing new weapons and
such for your mobile suit. But always keep this huge detail in mind, repairs
should come first. You can’t win a fight with a severely damaged mobile suit.
When challenging an opponent, be sure you
don’t underestimate your opponent and don’t overestimate your own abilities.
I’m
pretty sure your allies wouldn’t appreciate you attacking them. I’m pretty sure
it would really piss them off. And, I have a hunch that they’d be tempted to
try and kick your ass. So, when you’re choosing the pilot you wish to
challenge, be sure to make sure they’re not an ally.
But if you’re not really affiliated with the
four different factions, then feel free to challenge anyone you wish. I know I
said before that challenges are open, but I figured I’d mention the friendly,
no-kill, relationship between allies.
If you’re in a faction and plan to turn
against your allies, then e-mail all moderators and let them know. Not to worry
though, only you and the moderators will know of your character’s plans. We
love the element of surprise.
Your
commanding officer of whatever military faction you are associated with
controls your missions. If you are a civilian, then don’t worry too much about
it.
